Riding a Pedego

NAPLES — Riding a Pedego bicycle is unlike any other biking experience.

With a swift push back of the kickstand, a person can pedal like they would on any normal bicycle. But with a quick twist of the handlebar, the electric engine kicks in and suddenly the wind is whipping through your hair, a smile making its way across your face as you realize that this is no ordinary bicycle.

The brainchild of Pedego Electric Bikes in Irvine, Calif., the electric bikes are sold nationwide and now can be found in Southwest Florida thanks to Fuel Free Recreation LLC., a locally run alternative transportation business that opened up its virtual shop in November.
